Louis Watkins founded Clear For Men in February 2021 after his own struggles with anxiety, loneliness and burnout in 2020. Rediscovering the calming ritual of a skincare routine inspired him to build a community-led brand that reminds men to Take Five and prioritise their wellbeing. He now shares his story daily online and in schools, workplaces and men's groups to break the stigma around male mental health.
The story
Clear For Men is a community-led skincare brand built around men's mental health and self-care. Its flagship Take Five Invigorating Facial Cleanser is designed to gently remove dirt, oil and impurities without drying the skin, while serving as a daily reminder to pause and prioritise wellbeing. The product is made in the UK, vegan and cruelty-free, and free from parabens, silicones and sulphates.
Founded in February 2021 by Louis Watkins after his own experience with anxiety and burnout, the brand aims to break the stigma around male mental health and help restore men's confidence. Louis spent 18 months formulating the first product, which now has over 400 5-star reviews.
For every sale, 15% of profits are donated to mental health charities Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and Mind. Beyond skincare, Louis shares his story in schools, workplaces and men's groups to spark conversations about mental health.
