Founder of Proud Poppy Clothing
Tara, an emergency nurse by trade, launched Proud Poppy Clothing in August 2019 near the end of her maternity leave after the birth of her son Brodie. Having struggled to find beautiful, affordable clothing as her body changed, and hearing that petite friends faced similar frustrations, she created a welcoming, inclusive store where all women could shop together.
The story
Proud Poppy Clothing is an Australian fashion brand passionate about providing affordable, on-trend, inclusive clothing for women from size 6 to 30, catering to petite and plus-sized women and everything in between. Collections span dresses, denim, tees, knitwear and collaborations such as prints by Kasey Rainbow.
Launched in August 2019, the brand has grown from an online store to a Burleigh Heads warehouse and six physical stores across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, shipping hundreds of orders worldwide each week. A community of over 160k like-minded women sits at the heart of the brand.
Proud Poppy champions confidence and inclusivity, designing styles for real bodies and real occasions, and offers a Poppy Perks rewards program for its shoppers.
